CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN

Lovely But Dead Presents: The Art of Coming Back is a 10-part monthly zine series pairing the collage art of Emily Morgan (aka Lovely But Dead) with poetry and writing from participating contributors. The project explores addiction, grief, trauma, mental health, and recovery through personal reflection and collaborative storytelling.

Each zine is full-color, approximately 20 pages, and released monthly from February through November 2026, with a complete box set available at year’s end. Each zine will be printed in two versions (standard and premium with artist print) and distributed online, through Columbus-area bookstores, and during gallery exhibitions.

One submission will be selected per zine. Work should be related to the themes of the series (above) and should be no shorter than 150 words. Contributing writers are paid a $50 stipend per issue and will receive a premium copy of the zine.
